Refund & Cancellation Policy

This is a general template and should be reviewed by legal counsel before launch.
This policy explains how cancellations, trials and refunds work for Yaar Khata's paid "Pro" subscriptions. It applies alongside our Terms of Service. Subscriptions are billed through Stripe in Rs / PKR.
1. Free plan
Yaar Khata's Free plan costs nothing and never requires payment, so no refunds apply. You can use the Free plan for as long as you like.
2. Free trial
Pro Monthly may include a 7-day free trial. You will not be charged during the trial. If you cancel before the trial ends, you will not be billed at all. If you do not cancel, your paid subscription begins automatically at the end of the trial and the applicable fee is charged.
3. Cancelling your subscription
- You can cancel a Pro subscription at any time from within the app's settings.
- Cancellation stops future renewals. Your Pro access continues until the end of the billing period you have already paid for, after which your account moves to the Free plan.
- Cancelling does not, by itself, trigger a refund of the current period unless you qualify under Section 4.
4. Refunds
We want you to be happy with Yaar Khata. Our refund approach is as follows:
- Monthly plans. Because a free trial is available before you pay, monthly fees are generally non-refundable once a billing period has started. If you were charged in error or experienced a significant, unresolved technical problem that prevented you from using Pro, contact us and we will review your case.
- Yearly plans. If you request a refund within 14 days of the initial purchase or renewal of a yearly plan and have not made substantial use of Pro-only features, you may be eligible for a full refund. After 14 days, yearly plans are generally non-refundable for the remainder of the term, though you may cancel to stop the next renewal.
- Duplicate or accidental charges. We will refund genuine duplicate charges or charges made in clear error.
- Unauthorised charges. If you believe your account was charged without authorisation, contact us immediately so we can investigate.
Refunds are issued to the original payment method via Stripe and may take several business days to appear, depending on your bank or card provider.
5. How to request a refund
- Email support@yaarkhata.com from the email address on your account.
- Include your account email, the plan involved, the approximate charge date, and the reason for your request.
- Our team will review and respond, typically within one to three business days, and let you know the outcome.
6. App store purchases
If you subscribed through a third-party app store rather than directly through Stripe, that store's own refund rules and processes may apply, and refunds for those purchases may need to be requested through the store. Contact us if you're unsure which applies to you.
7. Changes to this policy
We may update this Refund & Cancellation Policy from time to time. Changes take effect when posted here, with an updated "Last updated" date. The version in effect at the time of your purchase governs that purchase.
